Video Game Endings

What're some of the best video game endings you've ever seen?

This topic was actually sparked by me just beating Fallout again, for the second time and realizing how truly awesome the ending is. It's all great, and the icing on the cake is watching your character trudge away from his vault with "Maybe" by The Ink Spots playing in the background.

There was also Conker's Bad Fur Day, which ended kinda bittersweet. He was king of the land, but that land was full of morons, (Kinda like RoG and this site ) and all he wanted to do was go home with his girlfriend.

I hated Wind Waker's ending! :o

this is all just recent stuff, me memory is suffering.

I love the "in water" ending of silent hill 2. It's so depressing but makes a lot of sense.

good one that comes to my mind?= final fantasy 7... that song in the end made me wait around 10 minutes before shutting it off though :/

Mario Bros has an awesome ending after level 936 where a drunk Carrot Top pops out, flips you off and pisses all over Mario.

I just got the one of the hardest endings of all time recently. The third ending of 8 Eyes after beating the third quest which is much harder than the 2nd quest, which is much harder than the original quest, which is hard as hell as it is.
I had an urge to capture the ending and turn it into a gif at that time.


And so I did.

I get that way every time I beat a Squaresoft game (screw SquareEnix, to me it's still Squaresoft/Square).

Worst game ending: No game should ever end on the end credits alone. As for worst non-credits ending, Medievil 2 cheated. Also, I hated Conker's Bad Fur Day's ending.

Best game ending: A tie between Medievil 1's "Hall of Heroes" ending and the ending to Onimusha 2 (including the "epilogue" after the credits).

Onimusha 2's ending was killer. And the bonus after made me yelp.

I bet that the final conclusion to the Legacy of Kain games is going to be one hell of a rhomp. They are after all forcing me to play them by their teaser endings that are just a prelude to the next game. We should be well rewarded for years of that crap.

yeah, i totally cried at the ICO ending.

I like the fight at the end of Wind Waker but I didn't like the ending.

and the ending to Vice City was some what homo.

I liked the Conker ending, except for the whole gay "The game froze" thing.

Although I did get a laugh out of it

I like the 4 CV3 endings. They are radicalicious.
