Sam Raimi has told Bloody-Disgusting that he plans to make "Evil Dead 4" -- in addition to letting someone else direct the remake. "ED4" will star Bruce Campbell and be a continuation of the original, while the "ED" remake will essentially redo the first two films in the franchise. ""This is the project I really want to make. The remake can belong to someone else, but part 4 will be a continuation of the original." Raimi is a fan of both the "Dawn of the Dead" remake and the original, so he figured a similar situation could be created for the "ED" franchise. Click here for more on that.

I'm sure he could go either way. If Kevin Smith can make a shitty movie that has jokes only people who post on his message board will understand, then Sam Raimi could possibly make a sequal based on a version of a film that didn't come out in theaters in America.

I like the alternate ending... it should freeze and have the voice over from the dukes of hazard saying "Things just keep gettin' worse for ol' Ash"
