anyone who wants to talk about that dot at the end of the link go shoot themselves.

I only listened to Restless, but after that I'm going to listen to the other few. I love this kind of music at 10 at night

I'll give you a hint: Sadie can give birth to children

That's the most polished music work i heard from board members here, cool.

Hey Sadie, that sounded great. If you decide to come a little further south, try the Joint in Clemson SC( http://thejointlive.com). You'd go over great there and they pay pretty well. Pretty well by my standards at least.
If you need an opening band, tell Scott we'll do it ( http://jtandtheblame.com ). We're not a jam band by any stretch of the imagination, but we've went over pretty well the couple of times we've played there.
I always thought you lived in bloody-old England for some reason. Best of luck in the breaking of legs and such.

Clemson is in the north-western tip area of South Carolina. It's about a four hour drive from Charleston (pretty good and in between, it sounds like). There's another place in Spartanburg SC (where I'm from, about an hour east of Clemson) you would fit in, but the turnout is pretty thin. Still,, it would be better than nothing, if you needed a gig on the way down or the way back up. http://guitarbar.net/ Ask for Marc.

we had our cd release party last night at a local club with a pretty good turnout. the owner started out being a jerk; he didn't let us get a sound check, but he ended up saying he enjoyed it. and, yah, it was loud, and people had to scream to order drinks, but the flow was a go. and it's very cool to look out in the crowd and see people dancing and singing the lyrics to your originals. oh, and on top of my one-fourth, i got half of a $25 tip for singing an acoustic encore--one song! :O

p.s. i changed the site, and some of it isn't up yet, but there's a link to the cover art and a few sample songs from the cd we just got back from discmakers saturday. LOOK: www.pomofos.com

okay.

at least check out the song i wrote and tell me what you think. i've posted the acoustic version of it before, but it sounds much cooler electric, i think.

there's just one thing about it. it doesn't seem to me like the vocals and the music mesh; i'm not sure what it is. maybe the vocals are too loud?

here it is: http://www.pomofos.com/verge.mp3

please?

Curious, I don't remember seeing this topic before even though it got bumped like half a dozen times in the last two months.

The site looks good, well organized. red and white on black is a little clichéd (), but meh. I'm downloading all the songs now to listen, and get back here later.

I really like the songs Balance In Her Hand and Midnight Rider, and I'm a sucker for almost any version of Have A Cigar I think On The Verge is easily my favorite of all the available downloads on your site, though. The electric version sounds more complete. I don't know, when it comes to music I can pretty much only say whether I like it or not, not what might be improved or whatever.

And Proto, Rog and the rest of the Richmonders need to go see you next week. I would.

we're playing tonight in richmond, but i don't think proto's gonna be able to come. i've gotta leave right after school 'cause it takes about three hours to get there, especiallly on our big old van. i hope our bass player--who lives there--brings out a lot of his friends, so we won't be playing to the waitstaff and bartender. he waits tables, and you know how restaurant people love to party, so i think they'll show. my throat's a little scratchy 'cause of the weather's changing (and not at all due to the number of cigarettes i've smoked), so i should be in great screaming mode. yay.

in the van on the way up to richmond yesterday, ted was reading some stuff he'd printed out from the internet about marketing bands. this piece in particular was about moving into a regional phase, rather than just keeping it local. it's normal to feel a bit let-down, the article said, when you're used to screaming hometown fans and go to another city to find either no one shows up or the few that do don't really get into it. it's tough breaking into a new city.

at the time, i was like, well, we won't have such a let-down, then, 'cause it's not exactly like we have the screaming fans to begin with--even in our hometown. but the night turned out so well we had screaming fans in the big city! we were supposed to stop at 1am, but we ended up playing encores until about twenty after. the bar staff were cool, giving us great service (and a sweet deal on jack for me :P) and totally enjoying our music.

this local promoter guy came up and played a good blues harp on "born under a bad sign," and sang and played a different version of "knockin' on heaven's door." he said he's interested in getting us in on some of his shows, so that could be profitable.

we hung out with jacob's friends in the fan until about 4am, and i finally crashed on the futon around 6. by 10am, i was up and we were headed to the waffle house. then it was a few hours back home to real life.
