Nice story! It was a good balance of humorous and bittersweet storytelling.

It's real good. And different. In a good way. I promise. Even if it isn't here. Y'all should go read it. It's short.

Monkeybicycle is a web site and print literary journal that leans toward comedy. It was recommended to me by McSweeneys when they passed on the piece.

You really caught me off guard with this piece. I love how it still has your autobiographical style but you've somehow managed to expand what emotion your fictional remembrances purvey. The simple sentences really add to the surrealism of the piece and makes it far darker in a way. It doesn't hurt that your humor is fantastic as well. Quite frankly, I love you.

I loved the story. I find Carrot Man oddly familiar. I wonder why?

I tried to put Monkeybicycle in my Google Reader RSS, but it's telling me they haven't had an update since April
