"In a world where apes evolved from MEN!"

All I can think of saying is, Good. Finally this nutjob kicked off and we can have a bit of respite from NRA insanity for a while.

He was a fun actor to watch on screen. One of my favorite films as a child was this old submarine flick from 1978 called Gray Lady Down (which also starred David Carradine) and I'd still recommend it to just about anybody. And, of course, I always loved his hysterically emotional acting recollections in Wayne's World...

Gordon Street? Ah, yes, Gordon Street. I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think her and the promise that I made which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street. That's uh, five blocks up, two over.

El Blanco did it first

And I wouldn't give credit to that prick if it weren't necessary

I'll only call him a prick here because he doesn't know about General Blabber

I liked him as long as he wasn't overtly political. When he went all batshit crazy for the NRA, then he lost all credibility to me, which I'm sure mattered a lot to him.

His best movie in my humble opinion was "The Omega Man" - if you haven't seen it, please read Max's movie review in the weeklies archives. In his prime, Heston could out-badass Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger with both his hands and feet tied.

R.I.P.

I was really upset when I heard this. I loved Ben-Hur and Wayne's World.
