How can someone who obviously thinks so much of their ideas have so little respect for expressing them? How can someone who so yearns to be taken seriously make so little effort?!

Okay, but until it gets moved there, I want to say...

well, that would spoil it, but the writing staff of Family Guy (which I happen to like) is one of the funniest jokes they have ever done.

And besides, the episodes where hugely political. Although I didn't like the politcial joke half as much as I liked the concept of how Family Guy gets written.

I think that Muslim terrorists are inconsistantly crazy and shouldn't reflect the religion as a whole. Durr

Making fun of a show that takes so long to produce it can't retaliate in a reasonable amount of time kind of makes SP a bully of a show, but it's better for them to be able to mock anything they like than be selective, especially if they hate something.

Will South Park become less preachy, or continue as is has been and use the excuse that since it made fun of itself, it's okay?

Well that depends on what exactly you mean by "preachy". The show has been "preechy" in the sense that Mr. Stone and Mr. Parker have always used their characters as mouthpieces for their personal opinions, and have never hesistated to say "I think _____ is incredibly stupid, let's laugh at it, HAH HAH!"

I think Maggie makes a good point about the production time between both shows. Real or mythical, Family Guy could never win that cartoon war. :/

So did Comedy Central actually ban them from showing Muhamed in the second part or was that just a ploy? It seems kind of like a really silly thing for CC to actually do.

I think it was a ploy. If Comedy Central will allow Carlos "If Only I were Stillborn" Mencia to stay on the air, I don't see why they would censor an image of Muhammed.

They showed Muhammed on the Superfriends episode and there wasn't any outrage from the Muslims... :/

That's because South Park is hilarious while the Dutch are just the Dutch.

I think they said they did get death threats for the Super Best Friends episode because they depicted Muhammed (it might be on the commentary). That's what you get for positive depiction. Negative images get riots.
