Palomino to Spearhead DIC's Growing Domestic Licensing Initiatives

Burbank, California -- DIC Entertainment (DIC), a leading independent children's entertainment company, has named consumer products' veteran Juanita Palomino as Vice President of Domestic Licensing at DIC, reporting to Nancy Bassett, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Consumer Products, DIC. Palomino will begin her new role at Licensing Show 2004.

In her new position, Palomino will lead the division's increasing domestic licensing initiatives for the company's brand properties, including "Trollz" and "Strawberry Shortcake." She will oversee the efforts of Cindy Elfenbein, DIC's recently appointed Executive Director of Retail Consumer Products, Heather Fuscellaro, Director of Toys & Interactive and Martin Corcoran, Manager of Domestic Licensing. Palomino replaces Cindy Davis, DIC's former Vice President of Domestic Licensing, who will be leaving the company following Licensing Show.

Bassett comments. "We are thrilled to welcome Juanita to the DIC Consumer Products team. She is an experienced professional with an impeccable reputation within the licensing industry." Bassett adds, "DIC has been experiencing tremendous growth in the Consumer Products area and, having had the pleasure of working with Juanita at Viacom Consumer Products, I have no doubt that she will make a significant contribution in helping us to manage that growth to achieve our goals."

Prior to joining DIC, Palomino served as Executive Director of Domestic Sales for Viacom Consumer Products. She was Responsible for all aspects of the domestic sales department, including the direct management of sales staff; generating and managing domestic budgets; creating and implementing brand plans and managing key retail partners. Additionally Palomino secured third party deal approval entities such as Comedy Central, CBS and Spelling Entertainment, as well as launched high profile licensing programs for Star Trek, Tomb Raider: The Movie and Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Previously, Palomino held positions at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (Director of Domestic Sales), The Licensing Group (Vice President of Sales) and Mattel Toys (Manager of Licensing).

DIC Entertainment, a leading children's entertainment company, is a full-service studio dedicated to creating, developing, producing, distributing, marketing and merchandising family-based intellectual properties. DIC has distinguished itself by building one of the largest libraries of U.S. animation with more than 3,000 half-hours of renowned programming, including Stan Lee's Super 7™, Inspector Gadget™, Strawberry Shortcake™, Knights of the Zodiac™, Sabrina ™, Madeline™, Liberty's Kids™, Where On Earth Is Carmen Sandiego?™, Sonic The Hedgehog™, Super Mario Bros™ and Super Duper Sumos™. In September 2003, DIC launched the DIC Kid's Network, a unique syndicated programming block designed to meet core FCC requirements and the only network for kids that reaches effectively 100% of U.S. households on over 400 stations, airing in every Designated Market Area across the country. As a pre-eminent supplier of kid's programming worldwide, DIC has developed strategic partnerships with key domestic and international broadcast partners throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and Australia. DIC is headquartered in Burbank, California with international offices in New York, Paris, London and Cologne.
