AVATAR the word is USER PIC. avatar sounds like some kind of old 80's computer like the commodore. Besides, it just means that I cant take the word AVATAR as my user name. I ran the word through several translators and they all say that avatar means avatar, even in portaguese. This leads me to beleive that the word was made up by the computer industry and we all know what those bunch of dorks are thinking. AVATAR is also an anagram of VATAAR, you know darth vataar? evil, pure evil this word is.
