How do I use mdf/mds files?

I just downloaded fallout2 and the only 2 things in the folder are an mdf file and an mds file. Is it like the cue/bin files? What do I do with em to get the game? :/

Download Alcohol 120% (or 62%). Mds/fs are just like bins/cues but you need alchol to open them.
