Razor bumps are usually caused by curly beard hair becoming sharp when shaved, then curling back inward after being clipped and piercing the skin again. The baby oil idea isn't bad, though it doesn't seem like it'd do anything that leaving shaving cream on the face for extra time wouldn't do. Aside from that, you aren't really addressing the problem, just an imaginary one that no one is having.
