Any fans out there?
I'm talking about the first two cartridges for the NES... no later, which happen to be two of my favorite games.
Favorite Teams/Players?

Randall Cunningham is a videogame football god.

Tecmo Bowl was good, Tecmo Super Bowl was better. The NES games were great but the whole series is good, so I'll talk about a later one anyway. Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edition is better

Might be for both, I played the one for SNES. It's cool. Made up characters and everything.

yeah, I had that one for both systems... the trading and created players were cool. I put together a season on the Genesis version with 8 of my friends were we each picked a team and then picked for draft order (for trades and free agents)... it was a helluva lot of fun.

I would get really impatient and leave messages at their houses or notes on my roomates door that said:
"TECMO TECMO TECMO
TECMO TECMO TECMO"

But I thought that version took away some of the cheesy goodness of the first two with too many added features. You no longer needed to pick your team based on your opponent's team... stuff like that. I would probably agree with you that it is my favorite though.

Like usual, the original classics always had that bit of charm but realistically the final edition was a better game. What ever happened to that series anyway? Tecmo shouldv'e kept it going.

I thought I heard once that there was one for the original playstation, but I don't know if that's true.

What I heard though, is that it was some kind of wack birds eye view type of set-up not side scrolling or not even like any of the football games that are out now.

It was supposed to look something like Play Action Football for NES, if you remember that...

but as I said this was all hearsay, don't know what or how much truth lies in those rumors.

yeah there was a PS version, never played that one though. I wonder if it is any good.

haha Play Action Football, I remember. Good times. Strangest view to give a football game though. There was also a Super Play Action Football.
