About the game:
This parody tribute NES game was created in 2002 by myself and Bane, but the project kept getting sidetracked due to each of us working on our own projects at the same time, including Domo-Kun's Angry Smashfest, which was basically a fancier version of what the original Abobo parody was going to be.
Since then, I've worked on plenty o' projects, but in recent years, my friends PoX and BoM have worked countless hours with me to recreate the original Abobo game parody from scratch. I threw out everything I originally did, started with a clean slate, and developed a real story for Abobo to dive into, fists first.
We've been working on this web game for what seems like forever, but we know it's going to be worth the wait. This is going to be the ultimate parody tribute game to the Nintendo Entertainment System. It's the game any kid who grew up with the classic NES always dreamed of playing and I'm extremely excited to show you the completed project.
For those of you wondering if we're selling this game, the answer is NO. Abobo's Big Adventure is simply a labor of love and will be available to play for free on the web. We're really pushing the limits of what Flash is capable of with this game and can't wait to put the most unappreciated, brutal, rage-fueled character in the entire pixelated universe in your hands.

P.S.: A huge thanks to Jeff Bandelin for creating the Abobo arcade cabinet artwork (seen on the promo graphic above) which will be making its debut at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con!
