Synopsis: Another Genesis game that combines giant robots with giant explosions. Here, we find you and four other Metallic Uniframe Super Hybrid Armor pilots about to take out an enemy base, when suddenly, the other four of them are shot down. I don’t know why, but somehow, you are not shot down and decide to carry out your mission anyway. Fortunately, your huge suit is up to the task. You start out with just a single rapid fire cannon thing, but along the way, you get three different kinds of special weapons, represented by elements: lightening, a nice beam weapon, fire, some big explosives, and water, spinning orbs that block projectiles and do some minor damage. In addition to that, a little barrel-shaped thing will occasionally come waving across the screen and will drop weird little tokens when you shoot it. These tokens upgrade your main weapon, up to four separate rapid fire streams, and give you some little sidekicks that you can tell to shoot ahead, behind, track, etc. Your enemy has built a bunch of giant pagoda tank things, robot ninjas, and ships with faces to try and stop you. I don’t know why the hell you would make a mobile house or a ship with a giant face on it, but they apparently thought it was necessary. The sound effects are pretty dull and amount to little more than a handful of cheesy explosions and gunfire noises. The music does better, but not by much. Overall, this is a good shooter, and where else do you get the chance to blow up a giant face than in a video game?
Best Cheats: Extra sidekicks - Pause the game and press Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, C, C, B, A. This only works once per game.
Extra Ships - Pause, then press Right, Down, Right, Down, Left, Up, Left, Up, B, C, A. This only works once per game.
Max out main cannon - For maximum cannon power, pause the game and press B, B, C, B, B, C, Up, Down, A. This only works once per game.
