Title: Radical Dreamers
Author:Squaresoft
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Mr. Stookymalarkey

Synopsis: This one's an oddity for all ages: It's a text-based game for the SNES! The game was released only in Japan on some satellite add-on for the SNES, so don't expect to be able to buy it anywhere. Anyways, the action is limited in and out of battle to the choices you've been given such as "walk across the terrace" or "headbutt the troll". On the bright side, there is such good writing in this sucker, as the story can get serious or downright funny depending on the scenario you choose. And boy, they managed to back in 9 or so scenarios into this game. The way you choose which one you wish to do is by deciding on interacting with an object before the story begins. For example, if you go into the library and look at the picture when you first enter the mansion, you'll go into the weird Sci-fi scenario.

The story goes like this: You play as Serge, a horn dog wandering bard (a.k.a. hobo) who has hooked up with Kid, a thief with an Australian accent. Why, we'll never know. And yes, they're supposed to be those 2 morons from Crono Cross. Anyways, you go, with the aid of the mysterious Magil, to raid Lord Lynx's mansion to steal the Frozen Flame. According to the scenario, things may differ. For example, Magil may turn out to be Crono Triggers' Magus, an angel of death or even something... different, as some other characters. Even the nature of the Frozen Flame is different since it's not always an almighty powerful jewel.
If this strikes your fancy, go to www.qualityroms.com to download the translated version of the game. BTW, the crap score for graphics is there since there are only 12 different images to display the action for you.
