Title: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (#2)
Author:Squaresoft
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Kenny Powell

Synopsis: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was an original, if not revolutionary, game that deserves to be played by all.

To start off the game starts as any Mario game does, go into castle, beat up Bowser, save princess, and a giant talking sword comes down and destroys the bridge to the castle and flinging Bowser halfway across the world map. Ok, so maybe the sword part doesn't happen in every Mario game but hey... You learn an evil gang called the Smithy Gang took over the castle in order to grab all the Star Pieces. The star pieces let you make wishes or whatever and with them destroyed they can do whatever they want etc. etc. But the whole point here is that Squaresoft and Nintendo teamed up to make this game so you know it’s a winner. The games whimsical flavor, hilarious humor, and original characters and awesome secrets make it so much fun. Yes, the game is linear and easy, but it makes up for it in more ways than i can count.

The game's graphics are amazing, surpassing Donkey Kong and yet contains a flavor all its own. The new characters (Smithy, Geno, Mallow, Frogfucious, and my favorite, Booster) all great contributions to the Mario franchise and are all cool and friggin hilarious. The "old" ones are made knew again, as they ooze with personality (Bowser is definitely the best of the bunch, and he joins your team!)

The game is funny but, also has a small, yet neat little fairy tale wrapped around it that somehow catches your interest. The games secrets (which are the some of the coolest in any RPG game out there) are sweet. The game also controls like a dream. Say goodbye to random battles, and say hello to unbelievable special moves, and a cool "timed hits" battle system.

The game has it all: graphics, music (which blends square and Nintendo tunes nicely), originality, and most of all, it's just plain fun. Do try to go and play this gem if you haven't already!

Best Cheats: S P O I L E R A L E R T ! ! !

Meet Dark Knight(Final Fantasy IV): First, level up to at least level 22 (25 is safest), stock up on rock candy, and make your team Mario, Peach, and Geno. Then grab the best stuff (basically the Lazy Shell weapons and armor) and use the shiny stone on the locked door of Monstro Town.

Grate Guy's Casino: This is actually easy. After the "Booster Incedent" head to Booster Tower and find Knife Guy. You win a point every time you win his game, and lose a point every you lose a game. You need 12 points. Once you hit 12 points, he gives you the memebership card. Head to Bean Valley, head down the pipe with the golden chomp-chomps are and jump at the end of the hall until the block appears. Jump on it and head to the casino.

Lazy Shell: Get the Seed (you'll get after you beat Smilax) then get the fertilizer. You'll find the fertilizer at the furthest right passage of Nimbus Land. (you have to beat Valentina and talk to mallow's parents first though.) Then head to Rose Town and give the stuff to the gardner. He lives on the outskirts of the town.
