Title: Donkey Kong Junior
Author:Nintendo
Rom Player: MAME
Reviewer: Randy Johnson

Synopsis: This game isn't as good as the original Donkey Kong but it is good. Back in the mid eighties my friend fibbed to me. He said that the arcade Donkey Kong Junior only had three screens like the Colecovision version. It has four screens. They are:The jungle screen, the key screen, the moving platform screen, and Mario's hideout.
You control Donkey Kong Junior who later played as Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country. Your goal on the jungle, moving platform, and Mario's hideout screens is to climb to the top of the screen to save Donkey Kong Senior. Donkey Kong Senior later played as Cranky Kong in Donkey Kong Country.
The goal on the key screen is to push six keys to the top of the screen to unlock Donkey Kong's cage. But after you free Donkey Kong, Mario captures him again.
You must jump over, avoid, or drop fruit on red and blue Snapjaws, two kinds of birds, and bolts of electricity.
This game has a timer. If you fail to climb to the top of the screens or push all six keys to the top before the timer runs out, you'll die.
The best home versions of DKJ are the Atari 400, Atari 7800, and NES versions. All three of these DKJ versions have all four screens like the arcade machine. I give the arcade Donkey Kong Junior an eight.
