Title: Super Mario Bros. (4th Review)
Author:Nintendo
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: Randy Johnson

Synopsis: I got this game with the NES I got for Christmas of 1987. Back then I thought it was the best game made. But after playing Super Mario Sunshine, it looks like crap.
On this game you kill enemies by jumping on top of them. Kill turtles, flying fish, etc. Bump your head on question mark blocks to get coins and mushrooms. When you get a mushroom, you turn big. If you take a hit from an enemy while big, you return to regular size. If you take a hit from an enemy at regular size, you die. After getting the mushroom and turning big, you find a fire plant by bumping certsin question mark blocks. Grab the fire plant and change color. You can now shoot fireballs and kill enemies. Note:One enemy is immune to fireballs.
This game has eight worlds and four levels per world. Every fourth level is a castle. At the end of each castle is a fire breathing dragon on a bridge. You can't kill the dragons by jumping on top of them. You kill them by jumping over or running under them, grabbing the axe, and destroying the bridge. Or you can kill the dragons by shooting them with fireballs. You will only receive points if you kill the dragons by shooting them with fireballs.
On the fifth or sixth world the dragons start hurling hammers from their backs. This makes them incredibly hard to beat. Be careful.
Back in 1987 SMB had good graphics. But not by today's standards. This was a great game but I still like Super Mario Bros.2 better. I give the original SMB an eight.

Best Cheats: When the game is over, hold the A button and press Start to continue on the same world the game ended on.
