Title: Aztec Adventure
Author:Sega
Rom Player: Dega

Synopsis: Now, what we have here is a game about a little guy who runs around Mexico, apparently during the Spanish Conquest. Are there actual Aztecs in this game? Not so far as I could tell, but that's a good thing, as I fear the game would have offended enough as is, or was, depending on your perspective. As far as any plot or point to this game, all that I ever saw was that you ran around bribing various creatures until you had a few on your side before going on a killing spree to gain more cash or special items. Then you went to find that level's boss, who you got all stabby on until he opened the door to the next level.

As far as the special items went, you could get anything from rubber boots to thunder spells, depending on the level. With the creatures you bribed to help you, their prices were one sack of cash for a cat guy, two for a rodent guy, and three for a dog guy. I always thought that maybe the price would indicate the level of competence or longevity or something, but all three seemed about equal when it came to being stupid monster fodder that was easily seduced away by an out of place hooker.

The real fun of this game, at least for me, was seeing just how far I could make it and just how many of my pay-for-pals I had when I got there. In a way, I kinda miss this game, but hey, all this new stuff we have now is supposed to be so much better now, right?

Best Cheats: There was a level select and a sound test, but I forget them off hand.
