Synopsis: When you sat down to play Fantasy Zone, it was all about getting in your little winged spaceship to save the universe from evil and pick up as much cash and coin as you could along the way. Of course, getting to blow the money on powerups was part of the fun.
One of the biggest downsides to this game is that most of the powerups were limited in the amount of time you could use them. I wouldn't have minded having the lazer as a permanent upgrade for the ship when I went up against some of the bosses.
As I've mentioned in previous reviews, there are lots of older games I'd like to see re-released on PS2. This is one of them. And as luck would have it, this one actually gets such a re-release. Or, at least that's what the rumor mill says.
