Title: Darius Twin
Author:Taito
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Shane Skekel

Synopsis: If there is one series that Taito (barely alive due to the raping inflicted on them from Sony) should put on the GBA and GC (PS2 has too many games, therefore most of them turn out to suck except for Ratchett & Clank and Twisted Metal Black), then Darius Twin should be one of them. If you see a really fun game then this is it, because horizontal shooters have been left for dead since 1996 after Salamander 2, and if all goes well, it may happen.
After all, this game was made by the creators of Space Invaders & Arkanoid.

Game Play: Unlike R-type 1-3, Cotton, and Gradius 1-5; Darius Twin (as with the other Darius games) lets you play together against the waves of mechanical sea life that threaten your homeworld. Much like the previous Darius games you get to choose your route to the final bad guy.

Graphics: Ported from Darius 2, only that this game is much easier to see than the cabinet, which has the Steven Segall's Letterbox 2000 from Mad TV-style resolution.

Music & Sound: For a game made at that time, it rocks although I'm a bit disappointed at the low amounts of music.

Originality: OK, the plot may seem simple, but you don't have to wait through long cut-scenes to get what is going on. Besides, that is why Taito still has respect for video games. I hope that this series doesn't end up sucking via an overhyped sequel much like the recent Star Ocean, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, and Metal Gear games; to tell you the truth Square Enix' games have turned out to be shit due to that crock of shit PS and it looks like isn't gonna stop anytime soon.

In the end, Darius Twin is one game that no Super NES owner should be without. Therefore, it deserves a ten for doing what it does best: being fun to play.

Best Cheats: Find them yourself, because Space Shooter fans don't need to cheat.
