Title: Snake Rattle n' Roll (2nd Review)
Author:Rare
Rom Player: RockNESx
Reviewer: "Junkman" Jesse Shearer

Synopsis: Snake Rattle and Roll was one of the most unusual games I've ever played. It's probably why I enjoyed playing it the few times I did. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be a story to the game, but then, I think it was supposed to be a puzzle game. The basic premise of this game was that you started out as this blob thing that was supposed to be a snake that had to go around various levels eating things until it got big enough to open the pressure sensitive locks on the gates to the next level before time ran out. The more you made the snake eat, the more it looked like a snake.

There were other things to see and do in this game that didn't involve oinking the hell out and going to another level. As you solved the puzzles on each level, you got access to powerups and bonuses like better food and extra time.

Probably one of the most bizarre things about this game is that it is a likely contributor to one of the two weaknesses I'll openly admit to: the fact that I tend to eat way too much and, depending on the situation, try to run for it. Which is very weird, considering that I don't think I played the game more than five times total.

All in all, I'd recommend this game in spite of the fact that it came from that bygone time that ushered in the era of puzzle video games being what those "monster collecting"/"card battle" games are now.

Best Cheats: There are some, but for the life of me...
