Synopsis: "Under da sea" is one of the crappiest games Disney ever put out. Let's face it. The flood of Disney cartoons in the 90's was inexcapable, whether it was feature length movies or TV shows.
Unfortunatley, people at Disney decided to make a Nintendo game for every single franchise that came out. Oftentimes sacrificing good gameplay for a quick buck. Case and point: The Little Mermaid.
Of course, you are Ariel, the sea princess. And you have to defeat the Sea Witch Ursula, who has put your under sea pals into some kind of trance that makes them attack you. There's only 5 levels to this game, so this review will reflect that.
It's pretty basic. You swim in 2-D, use your tail to shoot out bubbles at enemies(don't remembr that from the movie), and throw them into more enemies. You can get upgrades for you bubble tail in chests throughout the game. The red circles up the power and the blue(or green, i'm a little colorblind)ones raise the range.
Go from level to level, beat the boss, then beat yourself for playing this shitty game.
Game Play: 5/10
It's kinda cool seeing Ariel's bubble trap a fuckin' octopus, but still shitty all around. i remember beating it when i was like 10 or 12, then my roomates girlfriend brought over her old NES. I beat the fucker on the second time through in about 20 minutes.
Graphics: 4/10
You can't even make out the shells over Ariels tits, they're just pink blotches.
Music: 3/10
How many times can you listen to "Under the Sea" without killing yourself. This game will test that limit.
Originality: 3/10
It kills me to think of how many cookie cutter Disney video games we had to put up with as kids.
Overall Rating: 4/10
It's alright. You'll beat it and never pick it up again, or be ashamed that you actually downloaded it, ya know, which ever comes first.
Best Cheats: None really. I bet you could dig up Game Genie crap, then punch yourself for making a shitty, easy game even easier.
