Title: Super Street Fighter 2 (2nd Review)
Author:Capcom
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Chaos Controller

Synopsis: I am writing this because the only other review of this fantastic game does it absolutely NO justice for it. To review, you gotta KNOW the game, man!

This puppy started it all. Well, the FIRST Street Fighter 2 started it all, but this is Street Fighter 2 with a little extra pizzazz.
Super Street Fighter 2 offers you four brand new characters and sleeker controls than any other Street Fighter before it. It was also an excuse for Capcom to remake all of the sprites from previous games. Good call. These look a LOT better. Capcom also used this oppertunity to add better sound clips and voices to the characters, each having their own unique scream of death this time around.

Gameplay:
If you have played any other preceeding Street Fighter games, this one is no different. However, to you new to the game (are there even any?) and the mechanics, they are as follows:
There are three punch attacks and three kick attacks, all ranging in different amounts of speed and damage. Each character is unique in their own speeds, strengths, and special moves. The special moves can be pulled off from a combination of directional controls followed by an attack button. For example: To perform Ryu's Hadoken fireball, press down, then sweep it up to forward and press a punch button.
This fighting style seems to dominate the fighter genre, making Street Fighter the father of all fighting games. After Street Fighter, all fighting games had unique characters with different backgrounds and fighting styles with their own unique special moves.

I loved this game as a kid and still do to this day, following every storyline and buying every game with a Street Fighter cast in it.

Graphics: Although they clearly are not as good as the arcade verison, they're as close as you'll get. Even closer than the Genesis port.

Music: Again, the closest you'll get to the arcade version.

Originality: Well, considering this is the basis of every other fighter out there, it's a perfect 10.

Best Cheats: Well, this is more of a secret. WARNING: THIS SECRET ONLY WORKS FOR SUPER STREET FIGHTER 2 TURBO!!! If you go through the 1P mode without losing once, Akuma will jump out and kill Bison, then you'll have to fight him instead.

Game Play: 9
Graphics: 7
Music/Sound: 8
Originality: 10
Overall Rating: 9
