Synopsis: That's not the full title; it's actually called "Desert Demolition Starring Wile E. Coyote & Roadrunner." A "Looney Toons" game. With the exception of "Bugs Bunny in Double Trouble," the series produced some decent games, notably the "Crazy Castle" series on the Game Boy.
This is not like that. This is a (very) short sidescroller based in Wile E. Coyote's universe. The basis is like every single cartoon he stars in; Wile E. Coyote is hungry, so he wants to permanantly scar children's minds by hungrily devouring the loveable Roadrunner, but in a hilariously dumbass fashion. He does this by ordering out from Acme for contraptions to help him catch Roadrunner, and the items always end up backfiring. Levels consist of a desert, a cliff desert, a train in a desert, train track belonging to said train in a desert, a cave in a desert, then some more desert, then some random warehouse where roadrunner tries to run your over with a truck. Acme weapons include an umbrella, spring shoes, rocket shoes, wings, tightrope, etc.
The levels look nice and rather varied (despite all being a goddamn desert), but the best levels are the bonus rounds. If you collect enough stamps in each level, you gain access to a bonus round. There in each round you must race the clock to collect points, and at the end of each run there's a cameo from popular Looney Toons characters such as Sylvester and Tweety, Yosemite Sam, Marvin the Martian, and that dog that likes to beat up Wile E. Coyote (and yes he does beat him up in this game).
Best part? You can choose to play as either Wile E. Coyote or the Roadrunner. Both are in the same level but the setup is different; as Wile E. Coyote it's just a straight platformer, get to the end of the stage and if you ever catch Roadrunner you get extra time. If you play as Roadrunner, you have to race Wile E. Coyote to the end while laying traps for him to screw him up.
Graphics are good, sound is good, control is solid. Decent liscenced platformer? You bet. A decent try.
