Synopsis: a lot of flack has come down over this(what is quite possibly the worst football game ever, lest we forget john elways football in the arcade) game, but i offer a different veiw.
i believe this game was ment to illustrate how an average highschool football team could beat what is apparantly sanfransico( in the uniforms designed by the towns folk near the bay, but thats a different story) at their super bowl best.
while you didnt have many teams to chose from ( one to be exact) you were immediatly transfered to an alternate world where diagonal lines ruled. because thats all you had to do to beat any team in the game. run diagonally. no im not kidding. try it out. it works. you can run a touchdown almost every play if you stick to that strategy. or also a good strategy against the first team, put your controller on the floor and walk away. i won 24-14 like that. im not kidding either
