Title: Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2 (2nd Review)
Author:Nintendo
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: AvikaW

Synopsis: This is probably the best Mario game on the SNES. This game is overflowing with originality, intelligent level design, and catchy songs. For your convenience, I've broken the game down into several catagories to make this review easier to read and understand.

Music: 10. The songs far outway Mario's annoying sceaming. There are bright and happy levels with cheary songs. The cave songs are very catchy. The mini-boss song is decent, but the boss songs are where the game's music truly makes playing the game worthwhile. Let's not forget about the eerie castle song.

graphics: 10. This game truly proves that while the Genesis is a speed demon of a system, the SNES is the tank that is ready to crush its adversaries. Yoshi'd Island truly makes use of mode 7. Whether it's the detailed backround or Rapheal's battle on the moon that shows off the SNES's ability to have levels spin, the graphics are some of the best on the system.

gameplay: 10. Simple, yet complicated. The controls define user-friendly. You press left and Yoshi goes left. No questions asked. You want Yoshi to jump and jump, he will. The controls aren't as complicated as rocket science or game programming, but the controls still aren't too shallow.

originality: 9. One of the most original Mario games ever. The battle mechanics are noticably different. Not only can you kill most enemies by jumping on them, you can also shoot them with eggs or even eat them. Yoshi's stomp makes Mario's simple jump seem weak, which is surprising considering how much damage a 500 pound man can do to a simple turtle.

overall: 10. No questions needed.

Best Cheats:

Game Play: 10
Graphics: 10
Music/Sound: 10
Originality: 9
Overall Rating: 10
