Title: Macross:Scrambled Valkyrie
Author:Zamuse
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: ZeldaDD

Synopsis: Based on MacrossRobotech Generation One, this game has you flying your veritech fighter (a transformable mech with 3 forms) around various levels fighting the evil Zentrandi invaders. After each level, big boss ships that pack even bigger fire power. You can choose from three pilots, including Rick Hunter, ace pilot Max Sterling, and his wife Mirria. Each of these pilots has three unique weapons, one for each of their Veritechs(also known as valkyries) three forms. You start out with all 3, but you can get things that power them up (up to 3 levels) by shooting the red enemy ships, and occasionally other things when you see them. You can even cause enemy Zentradi ships to defect to your side and help against their former masters. There are a bunch of different enemies, and each will act differently when it helps you. For instance, one circles around your ship firing, like the options in Gradius (another good game you should check out) while another simply goes kamikaze and rams the other Zentradi into submisson. If you are a Robotech fan, like me, you are going to eat this up. Watch out, though, its a tough game. Good Luck! Veritech squadrons prepare to scramble!!

Best Cheats: As far as I know, there aren't any cheats, but the version of the ROM that can be found on the web has a trainer that has 3-4 built in cheats for you to use if the going gets tough. Also, it seems that if you shoot certain objects in the right spot, a Macross symbol appear (a red circle with a white arrow thing that looks like a Star Trek badge). I think that they give you continues, but I'm not sure. The only one I have found is in the asteroid field of level. Shoot the bottom of the asteroid next to the two battle pods. Battle Pods have two legs, and are bigger than most of the ships in that part, so they should be easy to spot. Also, the way you get enemy ships to join you, is that, if you will notice, when you don't fire your weaponry for a while, you will see a gold halo sourround it. If you hit an enemy ship with it, they will glow gold and join your fight. Beware, as some ships can resist the effects of the halo.
