Title: Rygar (2nd Review)
Author:Tecmo
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: Gary Colon

Synopsis: Rygar is an early adventure game for the NES. You control Rygar, a guy trying to save his land from evil. Most heroes fight with guns or swords, not Rygar, though. He fights with his shield that is attached to a chain. Not your average weapon of death.
The graphics in Rygar are standard NES graphics. What makes Rygar unique is that it is played in two different views. The first view is the traditional side scrolling action view. The second is a top down view. Rygar came out in 1987, at that time, doing a game on a console that had different views was incredible.
The background music of Rygar is incredibly catchy. It does a great job of fitting the mood the game is setting. Unfortunatly the sound sucks. I think that there is only three different sounds used in the whole game.

Gameplay is Rygar's best area. Rygar is fun to play. The are a bunch of different tools that you acquire during the game, which breaks up montony. You also gain experience from killing enemies, which make you want to fight the large amount of guys.
Overall, Rygar is one of the top twenty games made for the NES. Sadly, it is never mentioned with the great games like Zelda, Mario 3, and Metal Gear.
