Synopsis: WARNING! This game will forcefully and painfully remove any amount of humanity you may have in you. The reason I am writing this review is to warn anybody and everybody NOT to play this game. This has become my sole mission of the evening. Drakkhen begins in the style of a pen and paper RPG, with the player selecting the stats for his four players (Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Scout) and quickly goes downhill from there. If anybody is not dissuaded from this lump of crap that is a game, I will respectfully withhold the plot, but suffice to say that the wasted potential will have you hunched over fighting dry heaves for hours. The gameplay is unbelievably bad. The control may have you throwing your control at the TV with rage from not being able to simply turn around. Combat is mind-numbing and dull, the player does not even have to be actively involved. The main character can simply sit back and watch the rest of his party attempt to feebly hack and slash away at whatever unimaginative villain that is threatening your existence. Basically, if you do not pre-program all of your people, they will blindly fumble around with whatever weapon they have until they die or win. The amount of effort it takes to control your people throughout the game makes the controls in many of todays games seem uninvolved. I am still trying to convince myself that this is not some joke by the programmers, but a serious attempt at an RPG. Instead of playing this game, imagine that you have won the lottery, stashed all the cash in a suitcase while planning your vacation, having a bookcase fall on you and trap you, and helplessly watch your dog dig into and destroy the millions of dollars while you slowly die from thirst. That is approximately the feeling you will get from a few hours of playing this game. Trust me, don't waste that time in your life, go show your wife/girlfriend/significant other that you care.
Best Cheats: There are only two people who will play this game-people who ignore the review and people who take my advice. For the former, well, you guys can figure it out for yourselves.
