Synopsis: When I first played this, the very first Mega Man game, there was no way I could have ever predicted that it would grow into what it has today. This is what started it all, this is the true Mega Man line, not all that X bullshit. You are Rock, a robot who has been turned into a fighter to combat the other peaceful worker robots turned violent by the twisted Dr. Wily. This game had everything back in the day; it was original, catchy, and very fun. You fought six robot bosses on your way to Wily: Guts Man, Cut Man, Bomb Man, Ice Man, Elec Man, and Fire Man. Whenever you killed one of them you would steal their abilities: Cutter Scissors from Cut Man, Elec Beam from Elec Man, Hyper Bombs from Bomb Man, Icy Slasher from Ice Man, Fire Shot from Fire Man, and the Super Arm from Guts Man. Aside from being one of the coolest games on the NES (along with Blaster Master) this also remains one of the most difficult to beat. Definitely worth buying, a ROM simply will not do. If you get this, guard it jealously, it will keep you involved. Check out my review for the SNES game Drakkhen (worst game ever).
