Synopsis: Well, at least it's football.
Data East could've done alot better with this game. First of all they should've given it a difficulty setting. It's amazing how fast you get tackled. Forget about even getting close to the other side(I'm not a 'true' football fan, meaning I know how to play but I don't know all the names for what your doing). I'll break it down a little better.
Gameplay:7
I'm sure if I kept practicing then I'd know what I'm supposed to do, but I don't. All I know is if you happen to get the ball, RUN. The other team can bum rush you faster than Chris Farley going down a waterslide. With a little more practice I think I may even beat the CPU someday. What’s really funny though is the slow "oh" your team makes after being tackled. It sounds like their rather enjoying it, if you know what I mean :).

Wow! These graphics are eye candy for me! Very neatly done. The announcer Frank Gifford actually looks like a human being! And you team has a shape to them unlike 10 Yard Fight for NES.

Eeh, the music’s okay. Nothing special, just okay. At least it suits the game well. It could get a little annoying sometimes though.

There may be a lot more football games out there for numerous classic systems, but this one is one of the greatest. Data East TRIED to make it as simple as possible so that even a child could learn to play. Eventually.

To tell you the truth, I really don't know what the heck I'm doing when I'm playing. All I know is that it's fun! Once I get a second gamepad for my emulator, I know for sure I'll be having my buddies over to play. They may all have either PS2, Gamecube or XBox, but they still enjoy the classics like me every once and a while.
