Title: Street Fighter 2

Synopsis: SF2 Champ Edition was way better than original Street Fighter 2. Though a great game this one just surpasses it. It's like Capcom actually heard us outside of the Arcade talking bout how Street Fighter 2 can be cooler.

We all said things like ''I wish two Ryu's or two Guiles can fight because mine can beat your's.'' Capcom put in mirror matches. Also I wish I can be M.Bison I can beat anybody'' Capcom added the bosses as selectable characters. These are the two biggest changes in the entire game. Other changes include the two signs have been removed from Ryu's stage, the two barrels have been removed from Ken's stage, though in Hyper Fighting they return well one of them does. Some character changes and a few back ground changes.

The story was about a drug boss and basically bad guy named M.Bison. Him and his 3 right hand men Balrog, Vega, and Sagat, stood with him and had an evil scheme to take over the entire world. Pretty much like any other game and I didn't realize what M.Bison was up to, until I got the Sega Genesis version.

The graphics were truly stunning. Large very realistic characters filled the stage each one more beautiful than the next. Each background was highly detailed and truly awes inspiring. With some slight improvements over original Street Fighter 2 this game was even better, though you had to be a real advocate of original Street Fighter 2 to notice any improvement well I did and it was well worth another version.

The realistic character voices and you win after every round was truly great as well. The music in each stage was very up lifting and inspirational you really got the cabinet rocking when great music like this played in a heated battle. The music though stayed the same which I glad it did, this is for the better when you think about it.

This game was also mega fun to play alone or by yourself. You had to go through all 8 original warriors being Ryu, Ken, E.Honda, Dhalsim, Chun Li, Zangeif, Guile, and Blanka. After you dusted them you had to face against the M. bison and friends I like to call them, Vega, Balrog, Sagat. Do that and you get a new and separate ending for each character which really adds to the game play a lot.

Even though every character had the same moves seemingly I can't stress that enough they all had special moves and different styles. The most infamous would have to be Ryu/Ken's fireball, when I first seen this move done I was truly surprised and was like wow that's amazing. In my opinion the fireball was the most widely known move in all of fighting games.

This game had endless possibility if it was in your local arcade everyone competed to see who was the best Street Fighter, with small tournaments, which were always fun. You don't see things like this going on any more but back then it was cool, you made up your own things to do after you an your friends beat the game with all the characters.

I'm a huge fan of Mortal Kombat, but you can't deny that without this series there wouldn't be a MK series or a lot of other great fighting games and over series. Some may argue that if Capcom didn't come up with the idea somebody would of figured it out, true but that’s not a guarantee, this series also brought the arcade back into a fun place with out it the arcade fun would of died years ago. This game is hard to find in a arcade you might find it in a small Pizza Parlor if you do play it is only a quarter.
