Title: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Author:Virgin
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: tommystinks

Synopsis: Modeled after the 1991 Kevin Costner classic, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves provided hours of entertainment for my brother and I. The gameplay basically follows the course of the movie. From Robin and Azeem's escape from prison to the famous showdown with the Sheriff of Nottingham, it's all there. The game is kind of RPG style. You are able to pick up new characters along the way, and advance your characters in level. You are also able to find new items, and exchange old weapons for better ones. I think part of the reason I liked this game so much is the amount of control you were given over your characters.
As I recall there are three modes of playing. There is the main action mode (where the content of the game will be played out). Then there is the Battle mode (this is where Robin and his gang of "Merry Men" do battle on a large scale). And then there is the duel mode (where Robin takes on his opponents in one on one combat).
If you can't tell, this game was one of my childhood favorites. It's a Role Playing classic, and I would recommend it to anyone.
