Synopsis: To all of us who owned a SNES back in da day but weren't spoiled enough to get the horrible Genesis as well hearing Mortal Kombat, the greatest arcade game at the time was coming on SNES and the Genesis was EOOOBLYI! Fucking kickass, everyone was pumped, especially knowing how much the SNES was going to make the Genesis version look like shit.
Yes when I bought this game for the SNES I knew it was going to own. Sub Zero and his spinal cord decapitation, Kano tearing out the heart, Rayden popping heads, Liu Kang flying around going WAAAH, the fucking PIT OF FUCKING DEATH SPIKES with DECAPITATED HEADS at the bottom, and of course SCORPION! Hands down the best character of the MK series next to Rayden and Reptile... and robo Smoke, and Kung Lao... and Baraka.. fuck it! But you could be all these guys and do all this shit on the fucking leftover joke characters Johnny Cage and Sonya who fucking suck.
Well, once again NINTENDO showed just what little tiny testicles they have by putting out this game WITH NOT FUCKING GORE! Shit if anyone knew you owned the SNES version of Mortal Kombat they would point at you and laugh! MK without gore is like a Sergio Leone western with no Ennio Morricone soundtrack. Its a good 50% of the fun.
Well no gore, the graphics still looked good and the sound was right on, but its still The Misfits without Danzig.. or Danzig without The Misfits.
Anyways this game pissed off and bummed out a ton of people and Nintendo caught so much shit they put out the last 3 MK games gore included. It placed many over on Sega's side, so blarrgh!
Play the fucking arcade version.
