Synopsis: Have you ever stayed up in the wee hours of the night and said to yourself, "Wow self, I sure wish the good people at Mindscape would make us a game that would realistically represent the proud profession of the mighty paperboy"? Well my friend, I would have to say that you are alone. However, you are in luck, for the game "Paperboy" has soothed our childhood dreams of being a paperboy. The plot of the game is you must deliver paper via bike to you paying customers, and meanwhile, you must avoid the dangerous streets of your local suburbia, knocking out ghosts, smashing windows, assaulting the elderly, and fighting crime with your mighty newspapers. If you fail in this task, then the houses that you missed get painted black, because they now read the paper of Satan! The gameplay here is not in my taste, or anyone’s for that matter. If you do like this game, then you would join the ranks of the other ten people that happen to like it. The action is slow, the graphics are on par of the high quality of pong (nothing against pong), and its only motivation to play this is so you can have a high score. Well this game did not get a high score on my personal scale, and I wish all the people that made it get cancer. I would not play this game normally except for my crushed dreams of being a paperboy. And for some odd reason, they made a sequel, an SNES remake, and was arcade hit as far as i know. but then again, they probably made some money off this franchise, I’m guessing for the same reason people liked the show "Baby Bob". But that is another rant. ~fin
