Title: Elemental Master
Author:Technosoft
Rom Player: Gens
Reviewer: Italian Stereotype

Synopsis: OK, Elemental Master is one of the few games I never played as a kid with my original Genesis, but had the good fortune to stumble across when searching for ROMs. Let me just say that I am VERY glad that I did. This game is, to say the very least, EXCELLENT. In fact, it is, in my opinion, one of the 10 best Genesis games available. Your character, Laden, is forced to wrangle with and control the elemental forces of fire, wind, earth, water, and light (Captain Planet flashback) in order to stop his brother, Roki, from destroying the kingdom with the forces of evil. The gameplay here is nothing too challenging. Run (you beat a hell of a lot of feet in this game), charge, attack, kill, and hide. Of course, as you master more elements, you are given more options as to your course of action. You start with the element of light (horribly weak against any REAL monster) so you must find the others in order to exploit your enemies’ weaknesses. Switching between the different elements rapidly becomes second nature. You won't waste a lot of time memorizing overly complex controls, as this game is just a button masher at heart. However, don't let that fool you into thinking this is an easy game. The graphics are decent, with detailed enemies, well-drawn cut scenes, and VERY nice looking bosses (one of the best parts). Some of the environments are kind of bland, especially in the first few levels, and are only good for cover, but there are a few that make you take notice. The sound and music are nice too, but not as memorable as a Sonic, Mario, or Zelda. The sound and music, especially at high volumes, will still immerse you fully into the game. Elemental Master is a game of simple design, high replay and challenge value, and very fun. It doesn't take much explaining.

Best Cheats: None that I know of.
