Title: Duck Hunt
Author:Nintendo
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: Dennis

Synopsis: Elvis made it famous, Video games made it legal. Thanks to games like Duck Hunt for the Nintendo you, too, could shoot at your TV. This was one of the first games made for the NES. Chances are if you got a Nintendo as a kid you probably received this game with Super Mario Bros. on the same cartridge. What a bargain; two free games. All you had to do was hook it up to your TV and you were playing games by evening's end as opposed to racing back to Toys R Us or Funco to pick up an adaptor and some games. The story? What story is there to this? You're a hunter; you shoot ducks or little discs flying through the air. Gameplay is simplicity in itself. Pretty much anybody could play this one. It's simple...Shoot things! The only way you could play this one was using the zapper. One thing I always wanted to do though was shoot that smartass dog that'd chuckle after you lost. Sound was pretty minimal just a dog barking, the ducks quacking, gunfire, and a song after you ended the game or finished a round. Graphics were decent for the time. Standard 8 bit fare and gave the game a cartoon look about it. No blood was shed but the ducks would lose a couple feathers. So this was perfectly acceptable for the younger set to play. It was a fairly decent game for the time and is still fun to play every now and then if for no other reason then to get a nostalgia fix.
