Synopsis: This was one of the first Atari 2600 games I bought in 1983. I bought it at Revco for only $5.00. In Dark Cavern, you make your way through a maze of robots, spiders, and blobs.
The robots shoot at you and you must shoot them. You must collect guns that appear at different places from time to time. Each gun gives ten bullets. You can have a total of 99 bullets.
The robots change colors. After getting so many thousand points, you start fighting robots that can move their heads two ways.
The spiders and blobs can't kill you but can cause problems. The blobs will start eating your bullets if they touch you. The spiders will paralyze you for several seconds if they touch you.
Mattel made another version of Dark Cavern for their Intellivision, but Dark Cavern is superior to it.
If you collect old Atari games, buy this one. It's cool.
