Synopsis: Harvest Moon is based on raising a farm and making a profit while doing so, and ultimately a family, as well. You play as a boy who has been handed down a farm from his parents who moved away. (They disowned him... Ok, they didn't really disown him, but it'd be funny if they did.) This game falls under the category of both RPG and strategy. The gameplay is much like an RPG since the camera angle is at the same angle as most RPGs, and you can also walk around and talk to and interact with various objects. You pick up plows and seeds and whatnot in order to plant crops. Then, a few days later, you can harvest the crops that you planted and sell them in order to make money to buy many, many things. You can spend it on more seeds (which are different each season, which makes the game that much more strategic), various farming equipment, animals, things to impress the various ladies of the game who all have their own tastes and likes which you must cater to, and you can even save money in order to expand your house. This game is for those of you who want a game that gives you tons of options. If you're an RPG freak, you may not appreciate this game since there are only a couple small towns to visit only in order to buy things for the farm. This game is the only game of it's kind, and deserves a try.
