Synopsis: This game is your basic RPG, but it is done so well that it should go down in history as a true classic. This is one of the few RPG's that is set in the future in a sci-fi setting that doesn't have a horrible storyline. In fact, this game has one of the best storylines ever. This game isn't much different from other RPGs. The battle sequences are what you'll find with most other RPGs, with the choice to either attack or use spells with each character. One thing that is kind of annoying is that all the character and spell names are 4 letters long and under. It's hard to know what a spell does when it has a name like "LNTR". If you can get past that, and you are into great RPG's and are looking for more of the same, Phantasy Star 4 is the place to look. I definitely recommend this game to anyone, even people who don't like RPG's so they can see what they're missing.
