Title: Pit Fighter

Synopsis: Some say this game was the inspiration for the movie Fight Club. Others say it was just a mere coincidence. Either way, this was a fun game. The story takes place in seedy warehouses, parking garages, junkyards, and bars littered with all sorts of weapons where you choose from one of three fighters: a kick boxer, a karate guy, or a pro-wrestler. You fight all sorts of characters that look like a biker gang met a crew of pro-wrestlers, and you could beat up the spectators and receive a bonus for it, or steal their weapons. Every third match was a three falls grudge match against you and your second player or a double of your character. The final match was against an S&M-looking guy by the name of Julian. He reminded me of this one WWF tag team, Demolition. One of the neat things about this game was you could beat your opponents senseless with all sorts of neat crap like crates, oil drums, pool cues, and knives. What’s more, you could pile-driver people into the hoods of cars.
Graphics, while revolutionary in the concept of using digitized live actors, were bad, but who cares? It was all about beating somebody up, wasn't it? The digitized actors idea would be used a few years later in the game Mortal Kombat.
Music was ok; nothing to write home about. Pretty much generic workout music. The woman's voices sounded more like some girl saying, "pick me up" or "C'mon, wuss". Guys' voices consisted of a guy going "C'mon", laughing, or saying, "You're the mine?" The grunts and groans sounded like they had a bunch of guys puking somewhere.
All in all, it's an ok game. I liked playing it and it's still pretty funny to do all that neat shit like pile drivers and body slams into a car's hood, but if you're a graphics whore, I'd say keep your distance.
