Title: Donkey Kong Jr.
Author:Nintendo and Coleco
Rom Player: IntvWin
Reviewer: Randy Johnson

Synopsis: I played the Intellivision Donkey Kong JR. for the first time today. I'm a big fan of Donkey Kong JR. The arcade version of Donkey Kong JR. was made by Nintendo. This version was made by Coleco.
The Intellivision DKJ is a good game but it has bad graphics. Mario looks utterly ridiculous. But I still like this version of DKJ better than the Atari 2600 DKJ.
On the Intellivision DKJ, you get points for jumping over enemies and you have fruit to kill enemies with. On the Atari 2600 DKJ, you get no points for jumping over enemies and no fruit. That sucked.
If you touch Mario on the Intellivision DKJ, you die. You can't touch Mario on the Atari 2600 version.
Coleco put both red and blue Snapjaws(bear traps) on the jungle screen. This version of DKJ even includes music. The crappy Atari 2600 version didn't.
There are three screens on the Intellivision DKJ. The jungle screen, the keys screen, and the moving platforms screen. On the jungle and moving platforms screens, your goal is to climb to the top of the screen and save your Papa. On the jungle screen, you must dodge, jump over, or kill red and blue Snapjaws. On the moving platforms screen, you must dodge, jump over, or kill birds.
Your goal on the keys screen is to push six keys to the top of the screen while dodging or killing red Snapjaws and blue birds.
The Colecovision Donkey Kong JR. was superior to the Intellivision version but I still like the Intellivision DKJ.
If you collect old Atari and Intellivision games and are trying to decide whether to collect DKJ for the Atari 2600 or the Intellivision, get the Intellivision version. You can find Donkey Kong JR. on Ebay.
I've also wrote reviews about other versions of Donkey Kong JR. I give the Intellivision DKJ a 4.
