Title: TMNT III: The Manhattan Project (2nd Review)
Author:Konami
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: Matt M. Koopa

Synopsis: The 80's was the golden age of arcade games, cartoon shows and NES. This was my favorite era because of the cartoons like Ducktales, TMNT and SMB Super Show. Two of these cartoons were stupid. In TMNT, there was this ugly bitch named Irma. She pissed me off, but she did get a starring role in one cartoon, not that I care. SMB show had shitty backgrounds and designs, not that I didn't care.

The TMNT games happened like Mario’s only the other way around. Mario had a game made into a cartoon. TMNT had a cartoon, got a game; get my drift? Mario had 3 NES games, so did TMNT. 2 of these I didn't like, but I like this one.

This game's story isn't different like the past two: April gets kidnapped by Shredder, but there a twist: he lifts NYC into the sky. Now the green heroes are in Florida taking a break from all the crap of NY. They watch April get kidnapped on TV. Now I'll have to say this: April grew some big tits; her boobs were bigger in the game.
I mean, come on Konami! Just because you made April's boob's bigger doesn't the game will sell to those horny teenagers that play Dead or Alive 3.

Enough of my stupid shit, onto the review!

You'll notice that the graphics are top-notch, even for an NES game. That's because the game was released in 1992, when SNES was getting good and everyone was going nuts for good graphics. TMNT 3's graphics are well detailed, and you can tell what a sign is and more background interaction (later in the review). The sprites are well done, too; the Turtles move nicely and when you don't move your turtle, he does a pose with his weapon. Enemies are well done, too, and the bosses are as well.

Gameplay here is fun, for one or two; it's a kick ass smash fest! Anyone who is a big fan of Konami's action arcade games will know what to expect. The level design is kick ass, from a subway to the Technodrome. Things are fine. As for enemies, the foot baddies come in different styles and weapons, like spears or ninja stars, and what I meant by better background interaction, I meant that they come out of doors, windows, cars, signs, and even jump from nowhere and pop out of a machine (they are robots you know.). Bosses are great. There is Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead and Krang. They even have Tokka and Rahzar from TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze.

Music isn't that great, even if it's by Konami, but there are some great tunes. Not much.

Overall, this a very great arcade beat ‘em up. Download the ROM or look on Ebay. I don't care; get your ass off your chair and try and get it!
