Synopsis: Getting retro is one of the many things that are good in life, like when your parents force you to go to a reunion at their old high school. You want to leave because of all the freaky looking people your parents said are "friends". You call them ugly fuckers, you run away and you get grounded, but it isn't your fault that your parents’ friends are circus freaks.
Super Mario All-Star is kinda like what I said above, only you have fun and you don't get in deep shit. This one of my favorite games on the Super Nintendo & is the best classic remix in years. The three NES Mario games are all re-done in SNES graphics. But are they still fun?
Yes they are, and they're better, too.
First, onto Super Mario Bros. 1. Your first NES game is now looking as good as Super Mario World; the backgrounds are fantastic and are well detailed. The music is redone, the coin rooms have their own music, and the sky room has its own, too. The overworld theme is great, and underground sounds the same like Mario 3's (more on that later).
Super Mario Bros.: Lost Levels is the Japan version of Super Mario Bros. 2; it's like Super Mario Bros. 1, only it's harder, nothing much.
Super Mario Bros. 2 is way better than the old one. Even if there are only three tunes that play in the game, the sound good. Backgrounds are as good as SMB 1's, but they great. Baddies are great, and Mario and the gang look better. Good!
Now last, but not least is the best one of them all: Super Mario Bros. 3. This is the best of all the four. Mario looks way better than the old one and the graphics are better than Mario 1's graphics. The music is great and gets moody sometimes, and the underground music is the same as Mario 1's.
Overall, this is very great game for everyone. Drugs are not to be used when playing this game if you want more retro game fun.
