Synopsis: Donkey Kong 3 is different than the two previous Donkey Kongs. On DK3, your goal isn't to climb to the top of the screen.
You control a man at the bottom of the screen named Stanley. Donkey Kong is on two vines. You must shoot Donkey Kong in the ass with your pesticide gun and force him to climb all the way up the vines to the top of the screen. On one screen, Donkey Kong gets his head stuck in a beehive when you force him to the top. If you fail to keep shooting Donkey Kong, he'll jump down to the bottom of the screen and kill you.
At the beginning of each screen, Donkey Kong smacks a couple of bee hives. This angers the bees and they attack you. You must kill the bees with your pesticide gun.
When you die on a screen, a more powerful pesticide appears on one of the vines. When Donkey Kong touches the pesticide, as you force him up the screen, the pesticide will fall to the bottom of the screen. Grab it and you can force Donkey Kong up the vines faster. The more powerful pesticide will also kill an insect that can't be killed by your normal pesticide.
You have five plants at the bottom of the screen. Bees will carry them off. Shoot the bees and they'll drop the plants. You get bonus points for each plant that remains when you complete a screen.
I liked this game, but I read that it wasn't very successful. I give it a 5.
