Title: Toejam & Earl

Synopsis: I remember this game from when I was about 9 or so. The basic storyline for this game (or so I thought) was to go around on the islands via an elevator that ran on funk, and find parts to rebuild your ship broken in an asteroid collision. Along the way, you meet insane children, Red Devils, and a plethora of other abstract enemies. I never did finish the game, but hell, I liked this game a lot, so here’s the lowdown on my review.
GRAPHICS:7 The funny, cartoony graphics, ranging from a giant killer hamster in a hamster ball, to the babes on Babe Island, the graphics are excellent for this type of game, if a bit crude.
SOUND:6 Nothin’ special here, except for the Funk Out mode of play where you make out your own rhythm with either Toejam or Earl.
GAMEPLAY:8 A Very original game for its time, Toejam & Earl was one of the first in its line of adventure games. It wasn’t based on fighting, but more on logic and wise use of the inventories. I hated opening a kill package!
OVERALL:8 This is a great game that most people would enjoy, and play for a while to come.
