Title: Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest
Author:Nintendo & Rare
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Shane Skekel

Synopsis: The second DKC game is up to par with the first game, but they added a lot of improvements to it.
The graphics are the same as the first game only that there's transparency effects when you're swimming, adding to the pre-rendered landscapes and sprites. Few games have graphics that are up to par with this and they are Killer Instinct, DKC 3, and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The only game with better graphics than this game is Yoshi's Story on the Nintendo 64. The game play is somewhat of an improvement over the first game, because of the new types of barrel cannons, the new animal rides with the old ones, and the fact that you can drift.

Speaking of the animal rides, you can transform into them with the help of special barrels, but if you go past a certain sign, then it's no ride for you. Other additions to the game play include the Kremkoins, the Hero coins/DK coins, the broad spectrum of enemies, and the secret stages accessible via Klubba's Kiosk. The music is 100% cool ranging from the bramble stages to the water-logged ship theme. This game's plot may seem lame, but this is DKC. Overall, this may be a sequel, but a fucking spectacular sequel.
