Title: Fighter's History
Author:Data East

Synopsis: Simply to say, if there were ever a game to rival the classic Street Fighter games, this would be it. I don't understand quite how this game DIDN'T take off in the United States, as it has the same graphics, gameplay, and fonts as Street Fighter 1 and 2, but it is an amazing game none-the-less.
This game, however, had something that the legendary Street Fighter series did not, and still does not, have: break away armor. Yes, not only did bits of the stage break when you were kicked into them, but your armor could break and fall off as well.
I was stunned when I found this game. My love for the Street Fighter series diminished when I learned that there was a game out there that might possibly be BETTER than the original Street Fighter games. I give this game a 9 for game play, an 8 for graphics, a 8 for music (a lot of it was pretty catchy), and a 4 for originality, because while it had it's own characters and storyline, Street Fighter was this game first. Overall, this game gets a 7 in my book. It's a worthwhile game, and definitely something that someone who loves Street Fighter (or any similar game) should check out.
