Title: Megaman 7
Author:Capcom
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Shane Skekel

Synopsis: In terms of Mega Man games, Mega man 7 is the most overlooked game in the first series. The game play is basically the same as the first six games, which isn't bad since no company hasn't even tried to copy the game mechanics in the series. Plus, you can manipulate the environment in certain stages that adds some originality to the blue bomber's games. It's a shame that this feature was dropped in Mega Man 8 in order to accommodate the swim function. Some of the weapons are new such as the Noise crush, Slash claw, Protoman's shield, and the scorch wheel. Did I mention there are weapon tanks and a full refill tank?

The graphics are nice and anime-ish, but Rockman and Forte/Mega Man and Bass had better graphics. However, this game was released the same year the MM cartoon was made, and it was great even though it was inconsistent with the games.

Musically, MM7 kicks ass in that area with the boss theme and especially the Turbo man stage. The sound effects may not be from MMX 1&2, but they are better than hearing that squashing you hear in the arcade games and they WERE released in America and Canada. Plus, there was the voice acting in those arcade games that pissed me off.

The originality may be of concern since many of the stages have things used in the previous games, but I'm not going to tell you what they are.

Overall, this is worth buying because a rom isn't gonna do even though this game is hard to find these days
