Title: Bahamut Lagoon
Author:Square Soft
Rom Player: ZSNES
Reviewer: Shane Skekel

Synopsis: When it comes to Strategy RPGs, this is the best one there is. We will start off with the story: In a world with floating Islands there is an empire that conquers everything that is of importance to them. Their leader is Emperor Sauzer of the Grandbelos Empire and he just thought the Kingdom of Kahna is a great place to find the Master Dragon who calls himself Bahamut. What I just said sums up the prologue to this god-like game. In terms of graphics, they are well animated and look better than FF Tactics (I thought it was ok, but its awkward controls and Long tutorial ruined it), Tales of Destiny, and Enix's attempt at a Star Ocean sequel. The heroes and enemies are very detailed.

The gameplay is addictive, very addictive. Your characters appear on the field normally, but when you attack a foe; you fight enemies FF style. The dragons can really help you since they let you use special attacks, plus their specials including "Hellfire" can help turn the tides of war. Therefore, the gameplay gets a ten and Play this to see the other stuff that I'm not going to mention.

The music is spectacular when compared to even Megaman. They are very well instrumented and they should have included a sound test to hear the kick ass soundtrack. The sounds vary in quality and I'm not gonna go into detail about this category.

In terms of originality, this Square Soft's last completely original game as their PS titles would ripoff all kinds of animes and other japanese TV (I.E. Final Fantasy VII) or be a continuation of their other games such as Seiken Densetsu 4: Legend of Mana (hopefully, it WILL NOT SUCK!). Overall, this game is worth your time and if didn't like FF Tactics, you will see a game that can show you that
the Super Nintendo can still kick ass!

Best Cheats: Cheating in Bahamut Lagoon is not possible, but there are side quests you can take on.
